Maybe because there is no point in Celtic officially accepting a bid, if the player is not interested.

It seems the Newcastle link is purely because of Cisse acting up. They are now best priced 7/1, this is a case of bookies covering their backs.

We have shortened today back to 4/9 favourites with Norwich at 5/1.

It seems we're still in pole position but Neil Lennon has cast doubt on the deal by saying no bid has been accepted.

Norwich are only shortening because loads of their Plumkins are backing him because of what someone said on their 6 fingers site.

As for the no bid accepted bit, if this was the case why did Lennon then go on to say that we are talking to Hooper and his representatives. You can't talk to the player unless its been agreed by both clubs. Lennon needs to stick his story.

Tony does most of his work over the phone or via video link. He also doesn't have the final say either. There are 3 other board members to consider too.

As for the not allowed to talk to player if no bid has been accepted, that's nonsense! Celtic can give Hooper permission to talk to anyone regardless of a bid being made, it's their choice. They obviously think a deal can be agreed or is close to being agreed so to speed up the process they have given Hooper the option to talk to us.
