I agree if it has been a few hours, but we do not know how long negotiations have been going on for. The BBC says that we are close to finalizing personal terms, so we have already spoken to the player.

I expect the formallities between clubs were just on agreeing a fee, and i expect discussions had already taken place with the player's agent as to what would be acceptable for the player.
