Mom Walsh or cook both played well
showed some intent far too late in the game
a point but saito and smyth gotta either play on correct wings for them or don’t play them as offered nothing
Harvey vale awol can’t keep kolli out playing like that
well done Bennie credit where its due deserves to start over other 2 wingers

Even though we were better team last 15
mins and had a couple of good chances, it’s mainly because Charlton ran out of steam and let’s be honest the should have been out of sight by then. Walsh had a very good game.
Saito should have been off at half time, Vale was anonymous.
For away games specifically we massively miss Chair to keep possession and Burrell to stretch the opposition defence.

Been saying it for months, we are crap away from home and getting worse, its Stephans fault , he sets us up to not concede , the defence sit deep and we hoof it aimlessly. Three 0-0 draws on the trot , two against poor teams . Last week we were great and positive , go away and sit back for 80 mins then start pushing up trying to score. We got lucky tonight against better sides we would have lost.

We should've duffed one of the wingers at HT, moved the remaining winger to their preferred side and bought Kolli on to play alongside Kone in the Burrell role. Waste of time playing Kone (or anyone) on his todd all night with that lack of service... it's astonishing how playing well over an our with TWO alleged wingers on the pitch can result in such a total absence of thrust, crosses and incision.
These away games are becoming dire to endure... be amazing if even 500 bother to go to the lunchtime KO at Hull in a couple of weeks.

Just stop starting saito and smyth. Both aren't good enough. Saito is just too lightweight and he just doesn't react at all. Just smiles and thinks plays like its a training match. He has no desire to get stuck in or even make it hard for the full back. The novelty with him is starting to wear off.
Smyth is a league 1 player who has somehow found himself in the Championship! He hasn't a clue what to do when he gets the ball and neither does the rest of the team. He cant just run past a guy and cross a ball. He spends most of the game with his arms up whinging at the ref because he is isnt good enough to beat his man one on one.
The sooner chair gets back and poku gets fit (if hes capable) the better. Relying on Smyth and Saito just puts so much pressure on the likes of madsen to produce a moment of real quality.
Bennie is a better option than saito at this rate. Walsh, Dunne and Cook were superb again.

Poor game. Walsh kept us in the game. My mom. Cook and Dunne also very good. Disappointed by Kone. On this showing, Dykes looks much better. He run all game, had chances and cleared a certain goal off the line. As for goals, Kone is turning to the Dykes we remember ... a goal every eight games! But it is still a point away from home. Happy? I think in the second half they were there to be beaten.

Just back home , defence were good tonight.
Saito very poor , to lightweight and a waste of a shirt ( best as impact sub)..
We badly need burrell, varane , poku , chair back as the bench was weak again...
Thought kone had improved last week but tonight back to his old self , doesn't win any headers , can't trap a ball properly and he's far to slow.
Another game on paper that was well winnable.
Both teams guilty of dire finishing.

To he fair to kone he was playing against a cb who has won more duels in the air than anyone else in the league this season. Kone was never going to get anything out of him tonight.Originally posted by 72bus View PostJust back home , defence were good tonight.

He actually linked the play quite well at times but he needs someone up near him and with vale standing next to madsen half the time woth his finger up his hole, it meant kone has no one to lay the ball off to. This is where we miss chair.
We may aswell have had 10 men in the first half. Saito should have stayed at home. Where is the old koki? Bennie has to start next week. Can't be having a grown man tossed around like a baby again. Its like watching a child in men's football. He needs to wake up quickly or he will be out the door in the summer. We cant carry passengers anymore.
