Let's hope so but noticed a lot of bad ball control yesterday. Basics! Didn't Oxford just turn over Bristol City?
Oxford played really badly against us twice last season. Let's hope they keep that up.

Yes. Saturday was sloppy all round - this nonsense about legs is a smokescreen. Wednesday have a threadbare squad and have played a game more than us but they ran around all afternoon with little problem, including Bannon who is 35 and his stride length must be a third of a normal adult male's given his legs are only 14" long.
We've played Three games in whole of September - how can any professional footballer be fatigued with that schedule? It's effing insulting to our intelligence to suggest "legs" and I have no idea why JS started talking about rotation last week and then didnt actually rotate anyone come the match.
Only issue Saturday was a pisspoor lackadaisical attitude from the get go with umpteen misplaced passes and underhit passes. It was a slow big pitch and we seemed absolutely flummoxed by it, constantly underhitting passes instead of fizzing the ball about. We were poor at the basics for 80mins of the game.
The only thing we need Wednesday is a massive attitude adjustment. Play like we did against Charlton and we coast to victory. Reproduce Sheffield shambles and we lose.
Fresh legs also means fresh attitude as far as im concerned. Those not pushing themselves need some time out of the first team to reflect on what they're missing out on. Its only fair to the guys who are eager to get out there and prove that they should be selected more often. We dont have an inferior bench so use the squad.

Fair comment. Dunno what's going on with Varane but he must be under severe pressure from Hayden, Field and Morgan for his starting place. I think Dunne's also lucky we don't seem to have much alternative at right back. Comparing RND's contribution at LB to Jimmy's at RB on Saturday revealed quite a gulf in effectiveness and impact.

I think Varane will be sold in the summer as part of our annual £12m hunt to balance the books. Hayden is clearly sharing the load so he won't get injured. I also thought RND had a massive game, as did Dembele when he came on. I thought we'd rest a few on Sat and try and sneak it whilst saving others for Oxford. Chances ahead for Oxford..!
Is Kolli injured? He wasnt in the squad on Sat? Perhaps he'll start on Wed........
Worrying thing for me is that this game, QPR are expected to win.
Now not only do these types of games bite us on the butt.
But I'm old enough to remember a game v Oxford in the mid 80s where the pundits and everyone has QPR down as clear favourites to win
Played at Wimbledon or Westminster or somewhere beginning with W.
Although Saturday we did get a draw. We'd have lost that last season, unless we had an injury time goal mouth scramble
If we win tomorrow and Coventry don't we will be joint 2nd on points.
Eight games tonight and six draws so loads of dropped points.
Sheffield Wed took Brum away so close and great to see Leicester getting boo'd at home after a 1-1 draw with Wrecsam.
We're as good as anyone in this league, and we just need to use our bench, most of whom played in the marti team that got to the fringes of the top 6 last season.
Is a new month so I'll trot my "2 wins" per month target in order to keep in and about the top 6. To be honest, if we can't take care of business tonight there's not much hope for success this season, just more same old same old.
JS did get a response out if them after Cov. I wouldn't say Saturday was a disaster but it was a very ropey performance so I'm interested to see if JS can kick their asses and get them into a mindset where they aren't crippled with fear and pressure by thought of hitting joint 2nd.
"Stephan has hinted at a selection shake-up ahead of their match against Oxford United and has said, as per the official club website: “Before Sheffield Wednesday, we won three games so it’s not easy to change something in the starting eleven. But now, for me it’s very important to have fresh players.
“We will probably change some players. How many I don’t know exactly yet but yes, we will have some fresh players and this is an opportunity for them to show how they are good on the pitch, and how they are able to help the club and the team to have good results".
Win tonight and we could see our self 3rd in the division, that's a hell of a carrot dangling. We do however like someone mentioned have a knack of wasting that opportunity but we have to see reasons for this QPR side to cause Oxford plenty of problems. Unlike many on here I don't actually rate rowett as a manager!

I may be wrong but didn’t Rowett put the Burton side together that Jfh took over from and we nicked him on the basis he’d done a good job ?
I’ve been away but didn’t Oxford get a draw at home to Coventry ?
