    Don’t forget cousins over Luongo.

All I can think is he’s resting them for Monday,

I look at the team sheet and think that we have decent options from the bench.

            Isn't Washington starting over Smith?

To be honest the squad today looks decent, although not sure about the starting eleven!

Conor doesn’t have it; the evidence of two bad seasons speaks for itself. Understand we have 3 games over 8 days, but
if resting players a priority why not Oteh or Sylla?

Conor got the assist for Smyth's goal on Saturday for N Ireland. Maybe that is his role - create chances for Eze/Smyth? When Conor comes off that will be Smith's role (though Smith does seem a better aerial threat to create his own goals)

Because there is potential in seeing how Washington and Smyth operate together? ( as seen for Northern Ireland ). Worth a shot. Also, this team selection is nowhere near the kind of madness we saw a year ago. Let’s see how it turns out before we judge.

Don't think Washington will cut it at this level as his finishing is usually atrocious, but will be interesting to see if he can show some significant improvement with a bit of pace and creativity around him. Let's face it, he's not alone in suffering due to the previous ridiculous formation.

Can't really knock Holloway for this one, provided he changes it no later than half time if it's proving unsuccessful.

The only common sense that can be fathomed from his team selection is Cousins over Luongo due to fatigue. Even that surprises me considering he was only down the road at Craven Cottage.

Why on earth has Eze been dropped? What does that do for his confidence?

Matt Smith been causing all sorts of problems up top for centre halves and hes been dropped for the monster goal-scorer Conor Washington.

                              Ollie, what the ****!
