How Bidwell was instructed to take the penalty is beyond any reasoning. Luongo, Freeman or Pawel could have done much better.

Bit unfair to blame Bidwell. Not a great penalty but others should have been stepping up. Another thing, once their bloke had knocked the ball out of Bidwell's hands, I'd have just changed the penalty taker, tit for tat mind games.

Hopefully Luongo will replace Cousins on Monday, Eze instead of Freeman and either Smith or Sylla instead of Washington with the other on the bench. Switch Smyth and Pavel to the correct sides and job done.

I feel bad for the 3000 travelling fans who cheered through the pouring rain for 90 minutes, I'm not saying no other player could miss a penalty but I would like to think there are better options, a goal would have made the trip worthwhile!
