So just because I found that particular chant quite amusing , doesn't at all mean I'm all for throwing bananas at black players for Christ sake - bit OTT with your "borderline racist" accusation.
Where is the line in between banana throwing and saying a west african has aids? It's not very obvious to me that one is a joke and the other is outdated overt racism.

You can't just hide your prejudices behind 'its a joke!'.

I don't think the aids song is a joke, and I don't think most people agree either. They just don't tend to be vocal kiddies in QPR blocks, so songs like that still get sung.

About 30 years ago part of the loft erupted into
          "Away in a manger
          No crib for his bed
          The little lord Jesus
          Got up and he said
          Kerry Dixon is a w****r is a w****r
          Kerry Dixon is a w****r Is a w****r"

People chanting Tesco's when we played reading was embarassing, don't take things too seriously though I laugh at most of our chants.

Listen you can all precious and take the moral high ground all you like - I have black friends I knock about with so you stick your accusations of my "prejudices" up your ar$e.
I just don't take things too seriously - if I her a joke about, for example, a fat person and find it funny, does that mean I'm prejudice against fat people ? No- cos I take it for what it is - a joke.
If you don't, that's fine, nothing wrong with that at all - but don't go spouting aload of poo poo about hiding prejudices and throwing racism accusations about just because not everybody is as precious as yourself. Now as I said earlier - agree to disagree .
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

When it comes to helmet supporters singing embarrassing songs we have got to be right up there with the best.

Why oh why we dont concentrate on getting behind our team is beyond me.

Yes certain players deserve dogs abuse ( JT, Ashley Young etc ) but for some strange reason QPR fans have it in for any player who is considored half decent.

I remember that Burnley game and Andy Cole, the night he got a hat trick. What had he done to us before to endure so much stick from us. Quite righty ran around Loftus Rd with the cupped ear signal after netting his 3rd goal

Football chants are intended to be edgy. And yes, many of them are ridiculous.

You can enjoy the ones that amuse you (and join in) and ignore the others, or go and watch cricket instead.
'Only a Ranger!' cried Gandalf. 'My dear Frodo, that is just what the Rangers are: the last remnant in the South of the great people, the Men of West London.' - Lord of the Rings, Book II, Chapter I - Many Meetings.

How a Foolham fan can mock us is beyond me.
