Thats why they never took off. Some did for a few games (like the best midfield song and Ledesma song) only few ever made it to the stands. Use to spend away trips on coaches simply thinking up new songs, most were just simply c.rap LOL

"Steve, do you think 25k is a good option when there are indications that within four years, new stadiums on average have increased attendances of 60%?
For us that would mean around 29k."

Remember that one well dave, we were on a good run at the time and two up. Actually appluaded the guy for his hat trick, which is unusual for me. More for his contribution overall in his career. Strange atmosphere that night plenty of in fighting. When it comes to helmet supporters singing embarrassing songs we have got to be right up there with the best.
Why oh why we dont concentrate on getting behind our team is beyond me.
Yes certain players deserve dogs abuse ( JT, Ashley Young etc ) but for some strange reason QPR fans have it in for any player who is considored half decent.
I remember that Burnley game and Andy Cole, the night he got a hat trick. What had he done to us before to endure so much stick from us. Quite righty ran around Loftus Rd with the cupped ear signal after netting his 3rd goalComment

If everyone had your attitude we would still be throwing bananas at most of our first XI. Would you be happy with that? After all, in the 70s people defended banana throwing using the exact same language.
Same goes for Asians attending football without getting calling Pakis, and so on.
If you don't see the difference between throwing a mars bar and gazza and a banana at John Barnes, then you probably weren't concentrating very hard in history class at school. For a start, fat people haven't been on the receiving end of centuries of oppression, and language isn't used as a tool of oppression by thin people over fat.Comment

We must be one of the worst clubs in the league for coming up with decent chants for our players. When friends ask me what we sing, I feel slightly embarrassed that the best ones are over a decade old (Gallen, Bircham, ****tu)
How did Faurlin never get a decent chant? Matt Connolly? Even Taarabt really should have a much, much better chant by now. We don't have anything to sing to encourage him, as 'too good for you' only works when he's already playing well.
Most other clubs who broke their transfer record on an international striker would have come up with a good new chant for him. But I bet we'll settle on the usual: one of the standards, sang way too fast.Comment

Who was it who turned the 'Taarabt's too good for you' back at us? That was funny. Cutting, but funny. We must be one of the worst clubs in the league for coming up with decent chants for our players. The Joe Hart chants against City were genuinely funny, as is my particular favourite
"if you can't talk proper, shut yer maarf'
Genius, and have had several opposition fans have commented on that one.Comment
