Players have bad games now and then, so to say a player isn't a good CB based on one game is a little excessive. To me we are building a very very good squad for the size of club we are and am very happy with ALL the signings so far.

A good signing but we really are crying out for a quality centre back. If this frenchman signs with barton going the other way then that should be it till jan, allbeit i'd like decent cover for Zamora who does get injured quite a bit and betty isn't the answer imo

Bosingwa under AVB was playing as a an attacking wing back and under instruction to get forward as much as possible. Chelsea's back 4 were often stretched and caught out of position which would make them look poor defensively at times.

Bosingwa under Hughes with clear instruction and a new long term contract will be a different player. Top signing.

To be fair pretty much every Chelsea defender looked awful last season under AVB. None of them were able to play the high line.

They all looked vastly improved under Di Matteo, Bosingwa included.
