        That's never going to happen in reality though - people will always do it, and I certainly wasn't trying to label him disparagingly. Ultimately we all build up a picture of public figures based on a mixture of personal perception and what we read, see and hear of them. All I was saying is, based on all the many interviews I've read and seen him do, that he at least comes across (whether intentionally or not) as having left-of-centre politics - hardly a criticism or for that matter, anything to be particularly ashamed of.

        Where I agree with you is that he is quite a mixed up and complex character (or "strange" as he describes himself as) and therefore his opinions on things will often be unpredictable and erratic.
