Not really. The thread is more about JB in general, last night just being the latest event. The point being made is he's made a target of himself, on and off the pitch. Events like last night will keep happening because JB is an extremely hated figure. You only have to see the amount of daily vitriolic abuse he gets on twitter to see that. So is he worth all the hassle and grief it brings to the club? I guess we'll know the answer to that this friday when the result of the club's internal investigation is due to be announced.

Some of you lot crack me up ... A guy is out with his girlfriend in the early hours (didn't believe he was under any curfew), suffers a random attack, doesn't retaliate and walks away and there are people on here are blaming him - outrageous.
Hold your heads in shame... People on here are calling Joey a mindless ***** amongst many other things, maybe you should take a look at yourselves...
Posters on this thread you know who you are ..
You all seem to have gone a little quiet since the actual events has been published (both by the police and club alike) which seem to admonish Joey.
Sickening and you should be ashamed of yourselves (and remember this thread is about what happened last night - period).Comment

lol you and your "indefensible"Hopefully this is the end of him now. It is just one violent incident after another. He is a seriel recidivist on self-destruct. The sooner the QPR board anounce his departure the better for everyone. No doubt there will be the usual Barton fan club apologists on here, but he is now surely beyond indefensible!
i get the impression that you dislike Joey from what you read about him? bit like i dislike you you from what you post? Up there on your ridiculously high moral high horse you must be able to see the truth about everything?Comment

Whether JB was to blame or not last night is rapidly becoming irrelevant in the bigger picture. That bigger picture is that trouble simply follows the guy around like a bad smell, ATAF, whether you back him or not. So ultimately the question is whether or not he, as our current captain, is worth all that trouble and baggage he brings to a club trying to build its family club image and global brand - I guess we'll know more friday...Last edited by Stanley; 04-06-2012, 12:25 PM.Comment

makes me laugh as if some of the "guardian readers" on here were to get attacked outside a nightclub they would be comparing there attackers to "thuglike" Joey Barton, he would still get the blame
Joey just cant win with that lot. You know who you are. The "i dont like confrontations" group

At the end of the day since he signed for us he's made one mistake. He didn't come out of the Man City game with any credit, it's down to the club to deal with that one incident. It never cost us, we survived end of.
There's a lot of moral crap being talked about here, he's no saint, never will be. If you don't like that maybe you should direct your anger at the bloke who signed him on a four year deal. Oh sorry cant do that, it was the saint Warnock.Barton is Innocent ok....
