Re. Kolli. If he is about to be loaned out like some rumours seem to suggest, I think the management should reconsider it, because too many of our attackers are injury prone. Kone is obviously one.

I don't think it's fair to call Kone injury prone - he played vast majority of games and usually the full 90mins too last season. I'd say he's one of our more robust players. BUT, you're fundamental point is correct, we ought to have four strikers in the squad.

I'm sure there's been a decision made already regarding Lloyd/Kolli. If we have deemed them as "not ready" or "not good enough" we can't alter that decision, it would be madness to turn to players the coaches/manager don't actually want right now. But, I'd guess that IF Kolli/Lloyd are getting loaned out, the club will have some replacements lined up.

It would be interesting to see Burrell and Kolli operate together now that there seems to be an opportunity. Did Julian ever play Kolli and Burrell together in a starting line up last season? My memory is a little hazy on that one. Apart from the ubiquitous presence of Kone, are there obvious reasons why he shouldn't that I am missing?

Are us fans over rating Kolli. I was excited when he made debut under Ainsworth. Three full seasons later, still not starter and we signed three forwards last season.

For his own sake needs to get first team minutes. Likely to be elsewhere.

You're spot on, Kolli's been coming through for 3 years without ever arriving. He had ample opportunity to step up when Burrell missed the last half of the season through injury but failed to grasp it. He gives us the occasional flash of his abilities but simply hasn't done it often enough and is seemingly regularly unavailable for selection. The coaches see him every day - they'll know what's best.

You’re right, the coaches see him every day and can’t all be wrong!

Lots of speculation too which is not fair on Kolli. He may simply be not quite fit enough/carrying a knock and on an individual plan?

From my point of view, I find him frustrating to watch, gives the ball away a lot and doesn’t work hard enough for the team. Body language can be misleading but he can look disinterested and ‘moody’ at times.

Lets see what happens over the next week or so as if he doesn’t feature or there’s no update from the club, the club is allowing us all to speculate

I think he's working in Sainsburys.

I agree with you there and clearly a brainfart from me!

                    Watford 0 Fiorentina 1...

Well, probably can't read too much into that but, y'know, gives a bit of perspective to our 3-2 against them and doesn't do anything to dent my enthusiasm - indeed, makes me feel slightly more upbeat generally about where we are right now.

Although they beat German third-tier side Hansa Rostock on Saturday, Watford finished last season with a form even slightly worse than us if I remember rightly.

Sounds about right... probably why bookies have us at same odds for the drop. Three teams WILL go down and I don't see any of the promoted teams being useless/hapless so any of the teams that were sniffing about the drop last season will need to be wary, particularly if there no points deductions dished out to skew things.

Will probably be a weird season with quite a few teams spending a lot of time "a couple of wins off the playoffs" whilst simultaneously being "a couple of losses off the drop zone". I suspect the fan base will split into two camps: Happy Clappy and Doom Mongering.... will be quite the rollercoaster!

I'll sit on the fence until we're 10 games in. At that point there's still 36 games and 100+ points up for grabs and we should have a rough idea how things are shaping up then.

Our odds for relegation would suggest we'll be okay. I dont think thats likely to be fair.

                          4/5 Lincoln
                          6/4 Charlton, Bolton, Cardiff
                          4/1 Preston
                          9/2 Blackburn
                          5/1 Portsmouth
                          6/1 Watford, Qpr

Top 10 is a must in my opinion.

I know its only Bromley, but i've been happy with Alemayehu's performance so far.

In the pre season games I’ve seen he’s a standout for me looks the part and proper prospect
