I also like that Alemayehu and Pearman were given 45minutes each, I know we need new midfielders but I do wish players came through our youth system more often tbh.

Thought everybody who played first half did really well, especially some of the younger boys. Second half didn’t pass the ball anything like as well through the lines and some pretty rusty looking players. Both halves missed loads of chances! Don’t recall our goalie having many saves to do but did really well 2 or 3 times

positives really impressed with Alemayhu, vale and mbengue linked up well

2nd half so far our gk changer for 1-2 bit like a ghost no idea how he didn’t save it

Second half
didn't have the spark like the first half team.
Lots of wayward passing.
our defence went to sleep a couple of times.
good to see the young lads get some minutes.
But saying that, a wins a win.
On to the next one.

Agree first half team much better especially isak and madsen duet. Didn’t like much in second half although good to see poku come on and looked lively. Did wonder if varane and Morrison want out.

Yes, good to see 10 minutes of Poku. When he limped off at end of last season, Swansea at home I think, with his THIRD hamstring pull of the season I started having some misgivings. Can't say I'll view him as being robust/reliable until he strings 20 games together without something popping though. Be fantastic all round if he can stay fit and get a bit of momentum to the stuttering time of it he's had here.

Without being a miserablist, I can't believe I was the only one who noticed their goal came from a Salamon howler that way eclipsed ANYTHING Nardi or Walsh did that got ripped to bits? Biggest goalie rick of ours I've seen since Beggo wafted at that cross at Plymouth to concede an equaliser.

See we beat Wycombe 1-0 at the training ground. Saw a few minutes of highlight from a low-angle camera that made the action look very crowded so difficult to derive much. Have to take it as a brisk run-out or training exercise.

First time getting to watch us this preseason on QPR+ and I like our setup and formation. The way Vale and Chair are allowed to find gaps between the midfield and defense and play across that dangerous area and into the wing is going to cause teams some problems.

Charles looks about as comfortable on the ball as i've seen.
Madsn playing that furthest back of a three gives him that midfield general and he's bossing the play against Fiorentina so far.
The rotation and flexibility in where to play really suits Vale and Chair.
Mbengue looks like he's been working on his crosses in the off season.

Concern with Kone going off injured already.

Just saw a clip on X and Charles appears to be about 5'11"??? Maybe it's just the angle or perspective but he looked too short for my liking.
