according to WLS - 3 clubs are sniffing around Burrell - Bournemouth, Sunderland and Wolves - this is the model i guess - find a rough diamond and polish it a bit and sell on.
Would love to have him here for a few more seasons but i guess anything over 5 million is a big profit.
can totally see him fitting in to the way sunderland play

I’d cash in on Burrell and play kolli with kone, it’s our model now but lower league sell on for profit ideally with a decent sell on clauseOriginally posted by 3London View Postaccording to WLS - 3 clubs are sniffing around Burrell - Bournemouth, Sunderland and Wolves - this is the model i guess - find a rough diamond and polish it a bit and sell on.

QPR ‘MONITORING’ LUNA SITUATION
QPR are one of numerous clubs that have been linked to sign Real Salt Lake attacker Diego Luna.
Luna plays primarily off the left and has shone during the MLS last season averaging a match rating of 7.3. More recently, in this last game, the 22 year old scored and assisted in a 4-2 win vs San Diego.
Now, QPR are just one of the clubs linked to the US international. Other clubs including Real Betis are also believed to be interested. The player is extremely likely to make a move away from America this summer.
He will likely cost upwards of £4 million

It seems so, and then we have to start all over again.Originally posted by 3London View Postis JS talking himself into a conflict with Nourry - he keeps saying how we need to sign experienced players to be able to move to the next level - Which is true imho - but that goes against Nourrys stated transfer stance.QPR

And objectives given to JS during his recruitment. JS was happy to join a club where development was the key aim, and Im sure JS is just stating a fact rather than a complaint. The same was said by Warburton and others since. If manager want a bigger budget than dont accept a role at Qpr.Originally posted by 3London View Postis JS talking himself into a conflict with Nourry - he keeps saying how we need to sign experienced players to be able to move to the next level - Which is true imho - but that goes against Nourrys stated transfer stance.

In short, Christian holds the keys and his first aim is not the overall success of the club (or making the fans happy). As such, any clued in manager, seeking success, needs to look elsewhere. How did we allow such a ludicrous situation to develop?

Financially I think the owners are done. They want to get as close to breakeven as they can through player sales.Originally posted by daveshads View PostIn short, Christian holds the keys and his first aim is not the overall success of the club (or making the fans happy). I think this will only get resolved if there's a change of ownership which is only likely if we can get approval to build a new stadium. Only then can the club grow to make a promotion push financially viable.
Under the current owners success will be mid-table and £10m a season coming in through player sales. To be honest, Im sort of fine with that as im not a premiership fan and love our ground.

Think JS may be hinting at we can develop younger players without sacrificing everything else. A few more older heads would potentially give the side more leadership and help younger players along. At present we are too loaded in favour of younger players and if anything that could be holding back some of them developing which of course is counterproductive to the 'project.'

Hayden, Field ,Nardi and Hamer are 4 senior players that Julien Stephan has failed to utilise properly all season. For someone that’s supposed to have a big reputation for developing youngsters I can’t think of even one that would point to that reputation being accurate.

Whilst I too am not a great PL fan, I feel that without ambition of some sort, trouble may lay ahead. I don’t feel it beyond us to emulate Brentford or Bournemouth say. But that is some way off and almost certainly not possible with our current set up/board/management.
Of course we all have a strong and historic affection for our ground but staying there indefinitely may be dangerous. Standing still in sport is risky. Generally if you don’t go forward………….
