  • Fans should boycott all future cup games.

Seriously, how many years have we had to put up with this.
Bar 1 or 2 players we basically sent our
B team down there! In doing so we treated our opposition with zero respect and the 1000 fans who made the long journey with contempt.

Fine if players need to be rested after 1 game(lol), or if you need to give some youngsters a run out. Just don't expect your loyal support to continue to pay out for a cup competition that the club clearly doesn't care about.
You can't even blame the manager as this has been happening for a number of years now. Must be club policy to bin any chance of a cup run.

It's time to show exactly what we think about the club's Cup policy. The easiest way to do this is to not buy tickets to any future cup games! Hopefully one day we will eventually start putting out a team that is capable of competing with the opposition in front of us.

Maybe the club should think about compensating the poor sods who went all the way to Devon.

I seem to remember it happen before, but I can’t remember what for.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

We just don't ever seem to beat league 1 or 2 sides in cup competitions regardless of our lineup. That's why relegation would be a disaster because we'd struggle to get back up.
I played sunday league football today.

Clearly I was the best player on the pitch.

I scored 5 and made 7 last ditch tackles.

We lost 5-0 but the rest of my team were sh it!

We were 2-0 and could have easily gone on to win that game, calling the players heroes.

The OP is a point worth making but given we're plagued by injury and squad depth without a cup run, what do you want the club to do?

Would be a very different board this morning had it been a win.

Julien mentioned the "club project" quite a few times in his post match interview and Nourry has been clear that in his view that young players develop quicker playing against adults in competitive games. But I didnt expect to see so many youngsters out there. I guess you have to smash some eggs to make an omelette

If it wasnt for Nardy it could have been a very embarrassing night, but the young lads did very well overall.

Schalke have said today that we withdrew from the Ba transfer in the early hours of this morning. I wonder whether the performance of Bennie last night also had a small part to play in withdrawing from the transfer, alongside his historic knee issue and the signing of Konne.

Agree with this. I don't mind changing the odd player due to injury but last night was a complete embarrassment for the club. We should be banned for a year for disrespecting the competition. Surely the players need to build fitness and momentum after a poor pre season. We always look like the most unfit team in the league. We are the biggest joke of a club its embarrassing.

We had no chance of winning that game once the teams were announced, yes we got lucky and went into a 2-0 lead but they absolutely battered us. Once Burrell went off it was game over , we nicked two goals due to his pressing and speed .

I hate our approach to cup games, they used to be a treat, a distraction from the league. I'd be interested to see a pro rata percentage win ratio for all league teams across all cup competitions, I suspect QPR would be somewhere near the bottom - we frequently go out in the first round that we play in, often against lower placed opposition. I relish the cup draws, the prospect of an away day, the prospect of a morale boosting win against Premier League opponents, but the club it seems has different priorities which is all a bit cr@p

I totally sympathise with you Darkranger, but the situation is almost self-extinguishing anyway as there will most likely not be many cup games to boycott in any case.

We should back the team whatever - def be feels like a new way now and if anything we should support the young lads more not less. Best crop of young players since the 70s
