Article says he'll be earning less money there than he was with us! Im assuming his severance deal was that we'd make up the difference in wages if he goes to a smaller club. I think they'll be getting a cheap coach and we're paying some of it! We've been played!!
Am I right in thinking Leicester are skint?

They're in a world of FFP turmoil AND the ownership is fed up too. The way they have flip-flopped over which division they are in each June to dodge FFP sanctions means they have The Prem and The EFL gunning for them and a points deduction and transfer embargo would appear inevitable. To be honest, the slippery conniving pair are made for each other and karma should see them in L1 next year.

"The likes of Sean Dyche, Danny Rohl, Chris Wilder and Gary O'Neil have all been linked with the vacancy at the King Power Stadium in recent weeks, but it appears Cifuentes is now in pole position to land the job, and the Foxes will have to pay QPR a compensation fee of £500,000"

"Marti Cifuentes is widely expected to become the new Leicester City boss after an extended managerial hunt at the King Power Stadium. It perhaps took longer than expected for the Foxes to officially part ways with Ruud van Nistelrooy, but candidates have been linked with the relegated club for some time. After rumours over moves for plenty of bosses though, Cifuentes looks set to take over at LCFC. He arrives following his departure from QPR, where he has been replaced by Julien Stephan after being placed on gardening leave shortly before the end of the 2024/25 campaign. Now, writing on X, Sky Sports reporter Rob Dorsett has provided the finer details of Marti Cifuentes’ move to Leicester City. After first stating a verbal agreement had been reached and a deal could be done before the weekend, Dorsett revealed on Thursday morning that the Spanish boss is taking a pay cut to take charge of the Championship side. His enthusiasm for the post at LCFC has also seen him voluntarily pay a ‘large proportion’ of the £500,000 compensation fee owed to former club QPR. Cifuentes will sign an initial two-year deal with Leicester City until 2027, with an option to extend by a further 12 months".
