Sorry, I dunno how to link to insta but it's easy enough to find.
    Here is Lucas Andersens post.

"2024 - It’s been one of the most exciting years in our life as a family, it has everything joy, tears, happiness, sadness, lonely and together ! Met so many new people that have become close friends. Kids going from no English to speaking it in no time. Thank you to QPR for giving me the opportunity and to the fans for supporting me from day one!!! We can’t wait to see what 2025 brings! Thank you friends family and loved ones! ."

I don't read that as a Goodbye. It's more like appreciation for the club.

We'll have to agree to disagree on that I think... the photo accompanying it is a photo of the back of him and his kids walking away from the camera. The main thing is context though.... from Jan 1st, any player whose contract is up this summer is free to enter discussions about a move away. We will have made our intentions to Lucas clear - he'd have been told we don't want him after May OR offered him a new contract.

Whether he's jumping or being pushed, that Insta post strongly suggests he's not here next season. But, it veers so far into "eulogy" territory my impression is he might be off during this window.

Yes, purely speculation on my part but I'd find that a weird "thank you" to make midseason if you had a future/contract here like say, Nardi has.

Looks like Isaac Hayden is off to Pompey. Was hoping he might return to us.

I thought their money issues were worse than ours. How did they put that financial package together?

Looks like we're going for the 18-25s

Don’t think we need Hayden now with the emergence of Morgan & the improvement in Varane

"English Championship pair Hull City and QPR are two of the latest sides to be linked with Celtic left-back Greg Taylor.

The Scotland international is out of contract at the end of the season and much speculation has surrounded him. Brendan Rodgers is said to be looking at reinforcing his left-back department with a move for Arsenal star and ex-Hoops man Kieran Tierney"

QPR, Stoke City and Middlesbrough are among the numerous sides eyeing Burnley defender Hjalmar Ekdal, according to Expressen.

According to a report from Swedish outlet Expressen, all of QPR, Stoke City and Middlesbrough have made contact over a possible deal for the 26-year-old centre-back. They’re not the only sides keen though, with several others across Europe interested.

More CBs? I presume he'd be another who can play anywhere across the back... I realise a utility player makes sense on paper and would be attractive to a cash-strapped club but I feel we are screaming out for solid specialist full-backs NOT another "defender" who's simply adequate in the FB role on a part-time basis.

                              Agreed.

Just before, I posted about the LB Creg Taylor, which seems more reasonable and achievable.

Ekdal has bigger championship clubs linked and teams in Europe, so doubt we'd win a multi team fight for his signature.

We need specialist LBs & RBs........it annoys me when a position I played in seems to downgraded to a CB can fill in! CB generally don't have the pace and agility to be effective in these positions. You just create a wink link.

"Football Insider reports that QPR are interested in signing young defender Timothy Akindileni from Aberdeen. The young defender has been playing for the club’s under-18s, performing well in the UEFA Youth League and Challenge Cup, and he has also appeared on the bench a couple of times for Aberdeen’s first team".
