Agree with this. It was very evident agsinst Hudds, twice we put a really dangerous ball into the danger area and nobody had made the run.Leave a comment:

One of the issues our midfield has is they do not have options to pass forward, our players do not create enough space, or make enough runs for themselves or each other, they stand and wait, then move. Maybe this new fella will have solething about him upfront but what we need is a midfielder who can carry the ball forward himself, we do not have that.
Ilias could do that, he is a much better player when he has options around him. He's slow to release the ball and too often trying to go for glory i believe because he thinks he has no other options. Could be a shout putting him further back.Leave a comment:

not a bad shout as I think he's better when central play him in middle of Field or EDB and colbooked his down side is he don't release ball quick enough, not sure if he played CM for stevenage ?I don’t see why Chair can’t be that central midfielder to bring the ball out. He’s got the engine for it and is always looking for the ball. He seems like he could do that job and might help switch his focus to look up and release from down and run. That would leave us with Smyth, Wilock, and maybe even Armstrong for out side who could receive balls down the flank or take on defenders.Leave a comment:

Couple years back, Ebiowei played against us for Derby. Looked superb. Worth taking chance on him.
Allan Campbell looks to have signed for Millwall.Leave a comment:

Neither, if only 1 player could come in, it would have been a midefielder like Tim. That's what we are screaming out for. Striker (Frey) would have been a bonus.
Who would you rather Dozzel or Frey. There was no budget for both. As a defensive mid Dozzel created next to nothing and he position can be covered by Paal or one of the CBs as a last resort. I think we're better overall for the Dozzel / Frey transaction.
No idea where today will take us? Dunne or Willock out and Tim in would be ideal if it has to be one out one in.
But, as it seems the January winfow actually goes on until February, there is still hope!Leave a comment:

Just hoping that Frey is a "Striker" like Charlie - if there's nothing on attack wise, he'll go back a bit and hunt for something to make happen.Read somewhere there were only 17 acquisitions made by Prem clubs this window - we're not alone in being quiet in January.
No idea what Frey is like, but given we are rubbish at attacking as a team I'm unsure what difference he can make? We did not replace Dozzell so I maintain my original view that letting him go has weakened us.
Big onus now on our 1st XI to avoid injury and suspensions cos our 2nd string looks very lightweight to me.Leave a comment:
