Don't agree with selling chair or dieng, young and potentially very important to a promotion push in 2 years, not without equal or better replacements in the youth setup due to come in, we can't afford to replace them like for like considering the talent.Originally posted by stanistheman View Post
agreed. QPR have to take a small gamble on signing all 4 of them for next season and hopefully won't have to sell good players to finance them. At worst, they could try and negotiate deals to sell either Chair or Dieng, but only with a loan back for the whole season guaranteed as part of it.
They also need to sign another striker that is better than Dykes and Bonne. The wingbacks Kane and Wallace are improving but we may need to look for replacements or cover for them that are better than Kakay and Hamalainen
Deffo agree with wingbacks. so short there.
Ultimately back to the main OP, keeping Field and johanssen would be excellent business, but Field the most important, youth on his side.

I would rather they keep Chair and Dieng to build a team with them too. The club needs to spend some money to buy the loanees and one or two others and just need to find a way to do so.Originally posted by topperharley View Post

He is, and they are, and they probably would be too high, and WBA may well want him back.Originally posted by 72bus View PostChas is the man that turned out season around imho , fear his wages will be to high for us , wba for the drop so they may want him to play next season.
But he loves it here, the location is obviously important to the happiness of his family. He's out of contract in August so WBA have very little to say about it. I think the chances of a wage compromise are very high.

WBA have an option for another year so they have a lot to say about it. Even if Chaz wanted to leave they could extend his contract meaning a transfer fee would he required to get him.Originally posted by topperharley View Post

But they would have to extend at his current salary. If they go down, as it looks like they will, they won't want someone on premiership wages on the books.Originally posted by SheepRanger View Post

Why would they need to do that? They could extend his contract that may include a relegation clause for reduced championship wages. It's only stupid club's like us that didnt have relegation clauses in contracts.Originally posted by Pal View PostBut they would have to extend at his current salary. They may be able to extend his contract by one year on £30k a week. Without sight of his contract nobody knows, but its feasible.

I agree it seems only stupid QPR refused to insist on relegation clauses when they signed those players in 2011, 2012 and 2014.Originally posted by SheepRanger View Post

Austin may well be prepared to take a pay cut to stay with QPR but WBA hold all the cards and will decide what happens with him in July. My guess is that they will want to keep him as a proven Championship goal scorer.

Needs Chaz to be realistic on his wages too. But if he could cut back on the horses it probably nets off to the same amount in reality.Originally posted by Qprtanpa1 View PostBelieve Charlie is having the time of his life with us right now. Would not be the same for WBA if they drop and want to retain him. Both clubs already know this, meaning there is probably some wiggle room here.
