You could look at the sale that way. I look at it a bit differently. This sale is a way to facilitate the signing of players who will bring their all to maximise the chances of promotion. I actually do agree with you to a degree mate as if we get promoted and lose Bamford (assuming he was vital to that in the same way ravel was last time) then we're back to square one."What stats allow you to do is not take things at face value. The idea that I trust my eyes more than the stats, I just don't buy that because I've seen magicians pull rabbits out of hats and I know I just know that rabbit's not in there." - Billy Beane

If are in for him, we should include an option to buy if we go up. Or just buy him permanently. He's unlikely to make the grade at Chelsea, they play Costa on his own up top, have Falcao and Remy on the bench and are always linked to 30mil+ strikers.Originally posted by nasser95 View PostYou could look at the sale that way. No not having that a player goes another comes the king is dead long live the king , if the management are doing their job properly you just move on , as I said in reply on an other thread the world was coming to an end when Rodney went then along came Stanley at fraction of what we got for RodneyOriginally posted by nasser95 View PostYou could look at the sale that way. I think we can agree to disagree on the first part and completely agree on the second mate.Originally posted by nasser95 View PostYou could look at the sale that way. I look at it a bit differently. Agree, a successful loan spell for Bamford here, even if we don't get promotion, makes us more attractive to future potential loans from big clubs.Originally posted by nasser95 View PostYou could look at the sale that way. Having said that, I don't think Bamford with an option to buy is a wild suggestion. He didn't make the grade at Palace and they've got the worst bunch of CFs in the Premiership. Doubt it'll happen now we've got Washington but you never know.

Disagree unless we could wangle an 18 month deal?Originally posted by dogsrrs View PostNo not having that a player goes another comes the king is dead long live the king , if the management are doing their job properly you just move on , as I said in reply on an other thread the world was coming to an end when Rodney went then along came Stanley at fraction of what we got for Rodney
If we go on a run where his goals/play are pivotal and Chelscum don't sell in the summer we start next season weakend by having to replace him, and bed a new striker in without a pre season.
Whatever division we start in next season, continuity is the key.

You dont get point the point his loan would end in may and if against the odds we got promoted , with Bamford in the squad and then he left I dont see how that should be a major step backwards you just move on to what comes around , if comes he comes if he doesn'tso whatLast edited by dogsrrs; 20-01-2016, 04:50 PM.
