Reports that Blackburn are on the verge of signing Danny Graham (done nothing in the Premier League but a very good player at Championship level - remember him tearing us apart at Loftus Rd when he was at Watford). Speculation that this (finally) suggests Jordan Rhodes could be off. Not that I think we will spend the kind of money Blackburn always seem to want for Rhodes.

Completely gone backwards Graham. He's just a grafter now, I'd steer clear.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostReports that Blackburn are on the verge of signing Danny Graham (done nothing in the Premier League but a very good player at Championship level - remember him tearing us apart at Loftus Rd when he was at Watford). Both played against us today in the friendly. Interesting as to why it was arranged. Could be nothing but with both Bamford and Musonda taking part, it certainly gave us a chance to look at both of them.Originally posted by Kevin Mcleod View PostStandard saying we have gone in for Bamford and Charly Musando (who?) From Chelsea and both looking likely.
Musonda is wanted by many European clubs but I don't have a clue about him although I hear he's highly rated.
Hopefully we can pull both deals off as we know what we're getting with Bamford but Musonda sounds a player as well.
A bit more about him...

All these links to keepers is winding me up. We've got a perfectly good keeper in Smithies.Originally posted by Hitman34 View Post@TransferCentre9
QPR will allow Rob Green go to Liverpool for free if they can sign Dan Bentley from Southend #shrimpers #qpr #lfc #sufc
If we sign Bentley or another and drop Smithies then he'll want out in the summer and we'll need another keeper. It's like a roundabout ffs.
Keep Smithies and Lumley will be happy to bide his time as back up.

Good as bamford is and Musonda is meant to be, I don't see the point. If we were gunning for promotion or terrified of relegation, then sure. But to me it is about preparing for next season now and i wd prefer to give our own players a game.Originally posted by Mattyqpr View PostBoth played against us today in the friendly. I can see your point and I agree. I also think as unlikely as it is, the board are backing Jimmy to give us every chance of sneaking into the playoffs.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostGood as bamford is and Musonda is meant to be, I don't see the point. We're 11 points off and have a decent run of games now with Wolves and Forest next up, both easily winnable despite our record at Forest! After that, 5 of the next 8 are at home and two of the away games are at Bolton and MK Dons.
Perfect opportunity to improve the squad, along with a decent run of fixtures. Do I think we'll make a charge, no, but it's not impossible at all and with the huge money coming in next season it's worth a shot if we're not breaking the bank which we won't be with loan deals.

I think there is definitely ambition to go up. Remember that there has been no change to the desire of the club to be promoted, just that they won't judge Jimmy as harshly should it not happen.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostGood as bamford is and Musonda is meant to be, I don't see the point. We really ain't totally out the picture yet, and I'm pretty sure historically that one club every season eleven points or more away from the play offs at this stage of the season has always made it into them.Originally posted by stainrodisalegend View PostGood as bamford is and Musonda is meant to be, I don't see the point.
