I boringly try and stick to published facts.. as you say, the last accounts relate to May 2014.. and these detail the £27m Barclays loan

I remember at the time of the last Barclays loan (March 14) it was revealed that the loan was "secured against assets including Loftus Road and parachute payments" .. given that £8m was due to be repaid within one year, logically the loan outstanding to Barclays is now £19million

Of course Tune/Kingfisher may have repaid this balance ... but there were public announcements on previous loans from Barclays but none this time.. so I'd reason the debt is still outstanding

One things for certain, though. The debt for equity swap of £180.7m relates to the 'release & discharge of interest-free loans'. By implication it doesn't include any outstanding commercial loans such as those made by Barclays

      thanks wc1

i'd conclude the same on the available information, but you never know with rangers, there's always the chance that they've extended that debt... (hopefully not though)

The usual suspects not being over the moon says it all for me, so I'm going to leave it alone now and just celebrate in the pubs at the Bush at the next home game.
We screamed for Ramsey to go, they listened he's gone, we worried about a debt so they wiped it.

This. Is how I see it. But they've been really poor at running the club, so I can see the points others makes

Yeah same here. Would rather TF stayed and ran us properly but I sense that isn't going to happen. If he does sell up, hopefully it's to someone who knows the ins and outs of running a football club better than he does. You won't find me hating on the guy though, he's put his money where his mouth is and backed us and every manager to the hilt.

Got that song in my brain now, cheers 77.

Bang on the money. Stupid naivety is a failing, not a crime. Well remember the fella going as mental as everyone else at Wembley. And I haven't spent £180M and some supporting my team.

You do know that debt is the sole reason companies go out of business?

Being poor at running the club, making decisions that don't work out is one thing.

Being randomly abused, accused of all manner of underhand things that they don't deserve is another thing entirely.

I suspect those posters who criticise for the sake of it would be a bit upset if we were to start telling lies about them.

I saw it mentioned recently that we have been used as nothing other than a PR machine for Air Asia. Blimey, that was some expensive PR.

Doesn't that amount to the same thing? If you make decisions that are ultimately failures, then surely you are running the club poorly?

I suspect those posters who still believe that TF is the man to lead us into a brave new world and back him to the hilt will change their tune in record time once he does sell up.
