Keeping an England goalkeeper with 3 to 5 years left in him who the best manager in the world was genuinely interested in is a mistake? Dont understand that to be honest.

Neither do I. And we should replace him with a keeper who isn't as good? Nah. Not for me.

            Mutch is a good player!

Also any idea from your end what the hold up in announcing this is? Perhaps guediora will be part of the deal?

How many games has he played for you since you brought him mate? And is he a first team regular?

I don't know about that. You triggered McCarthy's release clause (thank you!) so not sure if a player will be part of that deal.

All about opinions mate but I don't rate him that highly. Good shot stopper but dodgy under a high ball, prone to a clanger and his distribution is p*ss poor. Sounds a bit like Julio Cesar actually doesn't it? Speroni served Palace well when he was 5 years younger and they were a Championship side. I think if they want to establish themselves in the Prem they need someone stronger between the sticks.

Been saying this on here for weeks Kev. Dunno why so many think that the right idea would have been to ditch Green for McCarthy. What exactly has McCarthy done to warrant that sort of backing? Greeno was in the last England squad, we're lucky to have him!

Whats all this about keepers are better after they hit 35? Absolute ########. A keepers best age is between 28-33, after that they are on the slip.

Any Keep playing on to nearly 40 won't be half the keeper he was when he was 30.

Can't generalise, it's totally different depening on keeper. For example, van der Sar seemed to get better with age and was playing arguably his best football at the ages of 39 & 40.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

All keepers are borderline mental (as an aside)

Who was that chap at Liverpool who sat on the bench forever and earnt a small fortune? (another aside)

Playing better at Man U than he was at Ajax or Juve? Behave Matty, I know you like RG, I do too, but a Keeper getting better after 35 is plain nonsense.
