Some say he was unfortunate to play in appalling Premiership sides but I can't help but remember all the dire set pieces, dreadful shooting, frequently losing possession because he refused to pass. Yes we had some moments of magic but also lost numerous opportunities from good positions and kept losing possession due to him.

I actually think we are looking good going forward and feel a little sorry for Adel that his career has stalled but that is down to him. Time to move on.

Just pointing out that it is possible to get him up and running, it has been done. But not by Harry. Just because someone disagrees with your PoV does not mean they are writing rubbish. You say he has an attitude problem, but how do you know that for sure? How do you know he couldn't work under a different guv'nor? Stories get spun in the media all the time. The fact is, we don't know for sure what is going on.

What I do know is that we are a side with zero creativity and no 10 in sight apart from AT.

Hoddle will get him going again should he stay. Regarding my previous post on here about him playing saturday...well remember last summer? Marseille couldn't stump up the money for Barton, everyone thought he'd be going...2pm first day of the season he's named in the lineup completely out of the blue. Reckon the same will happen on saturday with Adel. We're lacking creativity, regardless of your views on him Adel's the only person at this club who can provide that. Last piece in the jig saw imo.

Fair comment Nik, but you must be quoting the wrong poster. We all know youre pushing an open door with Hal9000.

Was quoting re the creativity point, and my point much earlier in the thread in which I have no idea of its whereabouts! Apologies for any confusion

The fact that you're questioning whether AT actually has an attitude problem is a bit of clutching at strews.... it's almost up there with a post made earlier in this thread that poor AD was being made a scapegoat... I think it's time for some to come to terms with the fact that AD is not this brilliant super hero that some make out and some things are just plain and simply his fault!!.....

As for him being managed in the past, the only why that happened was having the whole team play around him and that's definitely not what we want, especially in the premiership. If/when he has a tantrum midway through a game premiership player's will just walk all over us.

It wasn't me earlier in the thread but Adel clearly has been made a scapegoat.

He was one of very few players who had a halfway productive 2012/13 and yet he gets 10x more grief for that season than, say, Hoilett, SWP, Mackie or Zamora.

So what? Jamie Mackie's finishing cost us far more points than Adel's bus ride.

Name all those other tantrums during our relegation season btw. Struggling? That'll be because you lazily assumed Adel was still his 2009 self.

If WATRBs had existed in the 1970s I dread to think what you'd have made of this:

2011- sent home from pre season for being constantly late and refusing to take a routine weight check (although we know why). Also threw his famous wobbly against fulham, same year!...and not a mention of 2009!!

You go on about Mackie's performance costing us but that's a different argument, as I'm clearly only talking about his 'attitude'!!!

So you can't name any wobblies in our relegation season? Gotcha.

And I'm saying his attitude doesn't bother me if he keeping us entertained and contributing on the pitch. Both of which he was.
