To be honest if AT stays with us I'd be very tempted to play him as a striker. I've always thought a true 10 (inside left) is where he belongs. I think he's a natural for the old Rodney shirt and position on the park. I think he could create space for Charlie, who struggles playing as one up.

Adel who played lone striker role at Chelsea would be amazing but there is no way he could play that role week in week out. Harry played one up front last season, will he really play two up front in the prem. I doubt it. I won't expect a quality strker to sign...just a back up one.

I don't see him as a lone striker, and I don't think playing one up top will work in the prem. Not with our midfield as it stands.

Don't know what's worse. Claiming that you have inside info which is bull or you thinking a guy who cant score in the premier league and got relegated is something worth getting excited about. Harry has a poor record in signing poor strikers but don't think he will stoop that low.

Hooper looked quite average last year and his poor goal return would discourage me from considering him
plus he jerked us around - hope one of the other teams in the lower half get him - that would help us more imo

Not quite sure why people are turning their nose up at Hooper, quite unreal really. The lad hardly started for Norwich last season and still managed to score goals in a team that created next to nothing.

People do realise we need a few good strikers? Comments like Charlie is better than him is ridiculous. So what? To think we're in talks about extending Bobby Zamora's contract is giving me sleepless night's as to our progress on the striker front! Hooper would be a good addition to the squad and something we don't have, a poacher type striker.

If your going to throw a player into the argument then at least make sure they are parallel to the original player mentioned. Remy was a stand out player who scored goals in a relegated team. Hooper was a player who when did manage to be fit enough to play, hardly scored and was not a stand out player in a poor team. So that destroys that poo debate.
As for Hooper, who only scored goals in Championship (which is where he belongs) and Celtic which means zero coz anyone scores goals in Scotland. Look at Kris Boyd and Kenny Miller who couldn't score goals outside Scotland. Hooper had a chance in premier league and failed miserably. I quote Benitez 'This is fact'
