Does this tell us people are jumping on the bandwagon, or does it demonstrate there's a bigger fan base than what we thought?

With a bit of clever marketing, good pricing, and regular prem football, might we get some big crowds at the new stadium?

Imagine if we'd only got an allocation for Wembley of 25-30k. There'd be ructions.

Who are these people that are going with season ticket holders? Are they Rangers fans who are supporters but neither season ticket holders or members? Are they potential regulars? Are they fans of other clubs but going with their mates?

If we sell out our allocation at Wembley, it would be interesting to know who these non-season ticket holders/members are. I'm of the belief that we have quite a large fan base but people don't go that much because we've been two bob for most of the last couple of decades.
Its a good point, do we have a much larger 'sleeping' support than we think or is every season ticket member bringing along a few of their none QPR supporting mates?
I know a few STH that are bringing as much of the family as they can for the day out but even that can't accountant for nearly 29k tickets sold already?

I jut hope that all the seats are filled and there is a great atmosphere and if they are maybe a 40k stadium would be justified?

My allocation was for fellow rs fans from past who don't go as often for various reasons. Two of which went to every game one season back in the 80s. That has to be worth something.

Getting a little bit worried that there will be none left for us mere armchair fans come Tuesday!

                    • I guess that means we have sold around 28.5K. Fantastic support for a club that averages around 16K which includes away fans! Here's hoping we can take care of the remaining 8.5K in the next day or two.

                      • Hope we sell out all our allocations. I've heard Derby have already sold all their tickets.

                        • If we sell out today then we have sold out in the same amount of time as Derby

                          • We probably won't sell out today because of the way the sales have been arranged but will tomorrow when general sale starts.

I think it is majority made up of family that don't go often and unlikely to again.
The game is at Wembley after 28 yrs, bank holiday w/e commencing on same week as half term. 3 o' clock KO. It doesn't get more perfect.
Loads of blokes I know who have been st for years are treating it as a family day out, if Saturday is the wedding where it's all family first, then Monday against Wigan was the Stag.
Wife's has a go at you for being a season ticket holder, throwing your money every July at a team that's just rubbish...how many times does she says why QPR ..loser. My mrs is proper chiswick west london as well.
She was at the millennium when we just married (she was impressed with our turn out) and now I'm taking her and child to Wem ber leeee to show em what it's all about and why her old man might be a loser but I wouldn't have it any other way, seeing the thousands of hoops will just reinforce where I've come from...
