Just booked my ticket, guy on the phone recons we have around 8k of tickets left and if it is as busy tomorrow as today they will sell out by around 2pm tomorrow...
Then you go online and see them on sale for £133 min already...
For me, already this ticket allocation has not worked as well as it could
why do people not believe 'THE CLUB' - strange that people find a way to be even negative about this.
We shifted 15,000 on just season ticket holders.
Members shifted another ten.
Its all believeable??
Yeah, absolutely mental. Thinking about it from a benefits vs pitfalls perspective, why would Ian Taylor lie? I think if the fans/media/FA/etc find out, its more detrimental to him, the media team, and the qpr front office. The only benefit would be the 0.0001% chance of hyping up more sales, which no one really stands to benefit, as the demand is clearly there.
As for the ticket touts, I urge all posters to keep calm. I can imagine that they are keeping the prices high right now.. with the hopes that some poor sap without a membership or ST will reckon this is his "last resort" .. and if said sap waits until the touts raise them even higher than £120 he's in an even poorer position.
If the tickets go on general sale, I'm sure the touts will be drastically cutting prices to match competition.

Exactly! Touts should be a last resort..maybe the day before. Should be spares floating around in the pubs on the day. Still hoping for a general sale myself.

I think they way it has been set up is a touts dream, yes they are high now but day before I'm sure they will be much more reasonable.
However I think it could have been managed better so that the touts don't get a look in Derby's are going on General sale tomorrow which I think would have worked well for us too.
So then, so far we've sold to just season ticket holders and members, and we're somewhere around the 28-30k mark for sales if the guy in the box office is to be believed. Didn't we take around 34k to Cardiff?
Does this tell us people are jumping on the bandwagon, or does it demonstrate there's a bigger fan base than what we thought?
With a bit of clever marketing, good pricing, and regular prem football, might we get some big crowds at the new stadium?
Imagine if we'd only got an allocation for Wembley of 25-30k. There'd be ructions.
Who are these people that are going with season ticket holders? Are they Rangers fans who are supporters but neither season ticket holders or members? Are they potential regulars? Are they fans of other clubs but going with their mates?
If we sell out our allocation at Wembley, it would be interesting to know who these non-season ticket holders/members are. I'm of the belief that we have quite a large fan base but people don't go that much because we've been two bob for most of the last couple of decades.
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.
