Why don't we just wait and see what he's like before passing judgement. Maybe we haven't got anyone else because decent English strikers cost the earth.

We moan we haven't got a scouting network and suddenly when we do potentially sign someone further a field we moan as none of us have ever heard I him.

I can remember a few people on here were slating Austin now he's suddenly flavour of the month. How things change.

I refuse to believe anyone on this planet slated Austin.

Looking at a few youtube vids ( I know, I know) he looks to have a physical presence about him which no doubt Harry is hoping to utilise alongside Austin, freeing him up to score more goals.

I want someone to get us up and be good enough to stay with us and keep us up.

Short term signings like we've been doing for years do my nut in.

difficult to tell really. tbh i'd have gone for cole/crouch/adebayor/lukaku type, proven who knows the epl and can score and hold the ball up, to the end of the season. maybe he is another one recomended by that bruno guy and people sometimes prefer players they have never seen or heard of.

Lukaku? Sure you wouldn't rather hold out for RVP?

As for short term v long term - if its a loan till the end of the season with no buy-out clause then its not exactly a long term solution.

Very true if that's the case, but would rather that scenario than one of buying another clapped out old Prem crock for big cash and a four year contract.

Yeah fair comment. At least if we do go up we are then free to buy someone of Prem standard. But if we are getting people on loan I always like it to be with an option to buy because otherwise you are just bringing on a player for a bigger club.

Can't get excited about this fella tbh. 8 goals in his whole career, never heard or seen him play. Basically were all just hoping he's going to be decent. At least it's a loan and I hope we bring in another striker. Suppose he's better than that lamp post Zamora
