I think both would make it in the Prem myself. I think Rhodes as an out and out striker is better than Charlie but maybe all round Charlie is a better player. Rhodes scored more goals than any other striker in England last year, if Jay Rodriguez can do it and get an England call up, I'm pretty sure these 2 can.

Maybe Austin can play for England someday,but can't see that happening to Rhodes. He has 11 caps for Scotland

Blackburn can say they want 12 million or whatever but the fact is no Championship player has ever gone for that much. Austin has a similar record n the championship and we paid like 3.5 I know he has a dodgy knee etc but no club is going to pay a huge sum for someone that isn't proven at premiership level unless they are really really young i.e Walcott and Oxlade chamberlain were i think sold for like 10 million i think but they were 15 or 16 I think.

I know he has. Record goal scorer for Scotland u21s I do believe. I meant if Rodriguez can excel in the Prem so much to earn himself a call up then these 2 can make it.

Cant see Tony splashing out on this French lad and Rhodes. You'd prob be looking at anywhere between 13 - 18 mill for the both giving the valuations being banded about.
I say get the French kid, leave Rhodes to the summer, 6 months more of his contract and we are a premier team

Definitely would if sold him. Would like to think they would reinvest the money for remy in someone like rhodes to soften the blow. But really hope Remy ain't going no where.

What happened to that Duvan Zapata bloke who had a similar thread to this last summer?
I looked it up and the only stats I found say in the 6 months since he has played just 8 games and scored 1 goal.
Is that it because that dont sound a lot for half a season ?

Connor Wickham was about £12m with the add ons,which i imagine would be part of a Rhodes deal.

Just looked on the sky sports transfer blog. Had a ssn radio clip from Matt Jansen talking about Rhodes. He said we are in for him but hope he stays til the summer. Matt Jansen an ex Blackburn player if I remember rightly?
