Blackburn paid around £3 million too much for him, they banked on him firing the goals to send them up in their first season down. His transfer was financed by a parachute payment, it was and still remains a ridiculous amount of money to pay for a player in the second tier of football in any country in the world.

Sorry, next time I'll make sure I ring Blackburns chairman and ask what exact figure he wants for Rhodes.
I'm just going by the figures I've been seeing from Blackburn fans and media. If he cost them 8 million (I don't actually think it was 8million think it was something like 5 rising to 8 depending on appearances, goals etc) and he's scored a shed load and been a success since he's been there, I'm pretty sure they'll be asking for that sort of dough.

Exactly.....nobody here knows anything. If a player is available, chances are someone will start yet another thread along the lines of "worth a punt?"... 'tis silly season. Best wait until something is announced by the club.
