The only thing Cesar has better than Green is a CV that people get carried out with; just because he has played for Inter Milan & Brazil doesn't instantly make him incredible.
I've nothing against Cesar and he played superbly well for us in certain games (especially throughout January), but I really don't think he brings any more to the side than Green - both great shot stoppers that have flaws in their game. When weighing it all up, I would sooner have Green (who can command his area) than Cesar in this division. Wish him well wherever he goes, but wish we would hurry up & get off our payroll. You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.Comment

To be fair Matty, it also don't make you bad. To play for Inter & Brazil and win the stuff he has you got to have something about you. If Green was that good why has he only Norwich & West Ham etc on his CV? I am with the majority on here though in that I would have Green at the moment as we are a championship club, someone like Cesar has no business playing for us at the moment, and as Harry says he should be at one of the top clubs. The situation is making us look like a circus where we have a keeper on appara 90k a week who is Brazils number 1 and he can't even get onto our bench ahead of Murphy.

Green is as good as Cesar (better in my opinion) but just because he has played for bigger clubs than Green means nothing. Sometimes your face just fits, there are numerous players who have moved on from title winning teams who have looked nothing more than ordinary after. To be fair Matty, it also don't make you bad. Mind you; For large parts of his time at this Club Cesar has played With an injured shoulder .Also his confidence was eventually shot when our defensive play totally broke down last season.
,
Green, on the other hand, is an OK goalie, but at times his footwork is nervewrecking to watch....Last edited by Shania; 19-11-2013, 04:04 PM.QPR

I'm going to watch Cesar play for Brazil tonight vs Chile at The Rogers Center in Toronto! It should be a great friendly with Chile coming off their win at Wembley and Brazil players fighting for spots on the WC team as well as the natural rivalry of these South American foes! It also gives me a chance to watch a QPR player live albeit an inactive one, being a neutral I'll be rocking the QPR colours at the match! No matter what you think of this bloke Cesar he as possibly a Rob Green injury away from being our starting keeper!@gatorTFCComment

I think thats a little unfair on Green, I just think English keepers in general haven't been great - or clubs just havent given them a chance? Apart from Hart (who has been dropped!), I cant think of the last English league winning keeper. David Seaman? To be fair Matty, it also don't make you bad. Of the current keepers in the England set up, they all play for average teams - Forster, Ruddy, Foster...Comment
