The Daily Star get a bad rap. They've improved recently and have been first to quite a few stories. I agree they've always been cr@p editorially though.

Maybe it depends on the circumstances. In this case the player has indicated he wants to leave and does not want to renew his contract next year. It was not Celtic's decision, though they would obviously prefer to get a transfer fee rather than wait until next year and have him leave for free. There is no point in accepting a bid unless the player has indicated that he is interested in going to the club, since if he is not interested and has a year left on his contract he would simply stay at Celtic.

IMO - QPR made an offer that was close enough that Celtic felt that the differance between the two clubs would be bridged. As such they allow GH to talk to QPR and announced it hoping it would bring Norwich / Hull or anyone else to the table to offer more.

No one else has increased there bids, our season starts next Saturday so the gap has been bridged and they finally accept the bid, and announced it, again hoping some else comes in with a higher bid.

GH wants to come down south and I would say for family reasons, however he wants to play in the prem, so most probably is dragging his heels. But understands with our season starting Sat knows if he dosn't sign,we may drop our interest and move else where. So its still a chance he can go else where or stay, but if the move back south means as much as we are lead to believe sign for us.

Not forcing anyone to believe me, but the info I've always posted has been there or there abouts over the year. It's not about being ITK either, just sharing what I'm told. 50 odd pages and a tonne of abuse but still no change on my part. I'll be here this season and the next.

But didnt you say he had signed over a week ago? Which was completely wrong ? Surely if he now signs sometime this week you cant claim any ITK credit as it just proves you were wrong all along?

Don't really care who said he was signing, when or where. Just want the matter resolved so we can move on.

Lets be honest here.

1. You are jealous
2. You are enjoying a good stir up
3. It wont be due to wages - As we clearly have a cap in place now.
4. We just signed 3 'FREE' signings - further proof of change in transfers

If Norwich had made a bid as good as QPR then Hooper would have signed for you already.

Lets be honest, Norwich went up same time as we did, went about it totally differently, with many of us (me included) thinking they had only signed donkeys and would go straight down. Hooper is a major coup for us and its amazing we can out-gun a prem team in this way (hardly ever happens these days) but even this doesn't change the fact that Norwich are in the only league that now matters, and we aren't. Norwich might be jealous of many clubs for all I know, but prob not us...
