scrappy even first half. Marginally on top. Defence and midfield looking ok but attack looking ragged despite creating half chances. Cisse needs support and to stop shooting on sight. Adel should have scored. Overall the tempo is a bit slow. Probably all to be expected for the bottom side on a cold wet night in Sunderland. Still fancy the draw which will be a decent start so long as the home games are won. -

Mackie needs to support Cisse more. We're not getting enough numbers forward. I think the message was don't concedeLeave a comment:

Bosinwa isnt full of bean today. Perhaps he just got back from injuries so he can't run for an overlap yet.
Better have Fabio on the right back in the second half.Leave a comment:

We've looked better - must be more clinical second half though.Leave a comment:

Still too slow, lethargic and ponderous going forward.
Let's up the tempo and support each other on the attack.Leave a comment:

Footballs a lot better, popping it about nice. Look solid at the back also. The game is there to be won in the second half.Leave a comment:

Harry must be looking at players like M'Bia and thinking "you won't be here come February mate".Leave a comment:

Good first half, look comfortable in the midfield and good going forward. Defensively, so much better organised at the back. Looking so much better, draw would be a good resultLeave a comment:

Not bad 1st half. Early goal 2nd half pls, and they will fall apart.
