At least we had a go 2nd half smyth probably our best player which sums up the 1st half
season over overall some very poor sides in this league and we’re bang average will js be here next season I’m not fussed if he wants to go to France we are poor all too often credit too him better to watch than martis borefest I just feel he lacks the knowledge of the pace of this league

What a farce of a team selection , no forwards .Originally posted by daveshads View PostIn the spirit of fairness to all the teams involved at the top, (and to our travelling fans), we have to give our best in this game. I will feel rather ashamed of us should we not do so. Imagine if we were in Milllwall’s or Middlesbrough’s shoes. What transpires will say a lot about our club.
Ipswich may prove too good anyway but we need to be able to walk off the pitch at the final whistle knowing that we can hold our heads up high, having done the right thing.
This is non negotiable!
Why wasn't the kid that got a hat ticket In the London cup playing

Mbengue useless. Lots of energy, but lacks quality. Cannot blame Walsh for the third goal. Prime blame rests on Edwards. Mbengu
was also to blame as he crashed into Walsh. The gk was superb. Tylon Smith was ok. The other Smyth showed why he should always starts. The most improved player apart from Madsen. We are nowhere near promotion.

Credit to Walsh he kept score down well done to Ipswich far more quality where it counts out wide and upfront yeah no Burrell Kone etc but out wide all season we’ve been terrible
smyth best player for us he plays 45 mins runs at players no faffing about backwards sideways too many others have
gotta be honest regardless of mbengue playing out of position he’s f kin hopeless the donkey in pantomime at times all over shop
as others said where’s the kid scoring 3 give him a run ffs Bennie canon fodder today chair get fit or get rid simple same for poku
varane id be surprised if he got a round in at the pub bloke cans go forwards more than 2 ft before turning round
positives stayed up comfortably negative once again good runs followed by longer bad ones

At least there was a bit of excitement flirting with 6th place, but injuries, lack of experience and quality in the squad caught up with us. However, the tail off in form wasn't always expected and made the whole situation full of mixed emotions.
For all the money spent we only gained an extra 2 pts from 24/25 pand I think for the investment thats a disappointing return.
But hey-ho, here's to a busy summer of wheeling and dealing and we go again!

I wish Smyth would use his brain a bit more and stop mouthing off to refs.. his mindless booking sums him up: utterly pointless barge into their player (was it Furlong) who had just conceded a corner so we lose the corner and they get a free kick plus a 2-minute reset whilst Furlong recovers. He then gets booked for dissent for being an irritating twerp unnecessarily giving ths ref sustained back chat. It WAS a blatant foul, how he can get so outraged by the decision is hard to understand?Originally posted by shaggy24 View PostCredit to Walsh he kept score down well done to Ipswich far more quality where it counts out wide and upfront yeah no Burrell Kone etc but out wide all season we’ve been terrible

Coaches need to have a quiet word and explain the benefit of playing under the ref's radar rather than quietly irritating them all game. If you go to war with a ref there's only ever one winner.
