Who knows mate. Given all of the injuries and none of them likely to return it will probably be the same team.Originally posted by SheepRanger View PostWhich QPR team will turn up?
Edwards hasn’t even featured off the bench so can’t see him starting and Obikwu will probably be on the bench.
We just don’t look like scoring with Burrell injured and Kone looking lethargic and out of sorts.
Another nil nil??

JS said he hasn't trained for two weeks and hadn't played for two months. He needs to do a mini pre-season training camp to get him up to speed.Originally posted by DJ Hooper W12 View PostAm l missing something here what reason could there be not to give Ronnie 90 minutes on Saturday??
Why he hadnt trained for two weeks Im not sure. Perhaps he was carrying a knock before his transfer?
But with other players available it was sensible not to throw him in when he wasn't fully match fit. I doubt he'll start on Sat either.

Agreed, at least no need to rush to at least.Originally posted by Abseits View Post
We have kept 3 clean sheets in last 3 league games - why would JS break up the Dunne/Cook pairing?
Cook to come off around 70min for Ronnie on Saturday. Might even be a double sub with both our new signings coming on for a warm applause at the same time.

There's no point dropping Mbengue. Any booking in next 4 games earns him a 2-match ban. So if we drop him Saturday what then? Leave him out for 4 games in total to save him from a 2-match ban.... it doesn't make any sense.Originally posted by shaggy24 View Post
jimmy might go rb has mbengue got 10 bookings now
personally i wouldn’t mind us trying 3x cb as our width play has been bloody awful
I'd hope it might actually put a lid on his "exuberance" and make him use his brain and do basic stuff like keeping goal-side of his man, avoid diving in on kamikaze tackles and not mauling opponents who are going nowhere with the ball.
IF we had a proper back up RB at the club who could slot-in without disrupting our other personnel/positions I'd be a tad more open to resting him but the club inexplicably seems reticent to actually hire any RBs so we're up the creek a bit.

Do we thinknthis Obikwu fellow is signing for the first team or Dev squad? Seems like one for the future to me but I know nothing.Originally posted by LordLoftus View Post

I see Wrexham are trying to gazump Palace's £19mil bid for some Euro wonderkid by meeting the asking price and offering £12mil upfront... has no direct impact on Saturday but indicatory of their buying power this window. I'm guessing their owners are seeing that the standard in this division outside top 3 or 4 is pisspoor and it's an ideal time to make a shitorbust push for playoffs over next few months.

They'll be fine. Their revenue will be £50m+. It basically puts them as a relegated PL club with parachute payments every season. Throw in the fact the figures players are signed for is spread over the length of contract for PSR rules then they can throw a lot more money at it.Originally posted by Abseits View PostI see Wrexham are trying to gazump Palace's £19mil bid for some Euro wonderkid by meeting the asking price and offering £12mil upfront... has no direct impact on Saturday but indicatory of their buying power this window. If they sign this kid for £12m plus addons, it'll probably be on a 5 and a half year contract. Effectively, it will be a spend of just over £2m per season in terms of PSR.
They'll probably be spending the best part of £50m every season and they won't even be showing a loss due to their revenue and the way the rules are set. They can throw a lot more money at it. It obviously doesn't guarantee success but I think they'll be in the PL sooner rather than later.

I don't think their revenue is quite as high as £50m, more like half that unless I'm mistaken. Still a lot of money. Revenue isn't profit though. If they start signing players to long term contracts to amortise the spend, they could end up in trouble real quick with dead wood they can't move on.Originally posted by Mattyqpr View Post
