Putting smyth on the left waste of time lost the ball every time he’s had it

Left side of pitch is a boggy disgrace - not really a surprise that neither team has done much down that side. It's making our already small playing area even tighter and leading to a very congested pitch with little space to be had. Reckon a set piece goal is far more likely than a goal from open play... who's gonna get it though?

not rocket science I play loads of golf and come mid September we leave fairways longer so come winter plenty grass others locally continue to cut short and mud heaps to play

Just leave them qtr inch longer

and yep set piece wins this

Nearly 2 down then. Feel a bit miserable about this game. Couldn’t fault the starting 11 this time. I suppose we could still get something out of this but frankly it’s all a bit uninspiring. Maybe it’s dawning on me that we are not very good.

The only good news from today is that Ronnie Edwards wasn't in the Southampton team or the bench today so maybe he's definitely on the move, just hope we get the cheque book out because without salter he's a must signing this winter!
