    Birmingham Match Thread

QPR boss considering changes for Birmingham game

“The data doesn’t lie and you have to utilise it. Fans will often say: ‘Why isn’t he starting?’ or ‘You can’t change a (winning) team’.

“But sometimes the data tells and your eyes tell you you have to and sometimes coming off the bench allows you to be even fresher for the next game. Hopefully we will get that right.”

The playing surface at Birmingham is being used every week because of the club’s ground-sharing agreement with Coventry – and Warburton admits that may also play a factor in his team selection.

    Prob makes sense.

Brum ain't won at their house in 4 months. Not gonna be an easy game for us.
Going for another draw me thinks.

Can see Dykes getting dropped for Bonne and that's it. Means he'll switch up Dykes for Charlie mid second half and Willock for Bonne if ineffective. I'd like to see Field starting but think Ball and his attitude is part of his game plan. Kane needs a rest but not sure what he'd do about that.

            Kane out, Kakay in
            Willock in, Chair out
            Bonne in, Dykes out.
I feel Adomah needs a full game now , but on the expense of who?
Cameron or ball do also warrant a rest, but would it weaken us?

Chair out is quite bold, but he has been a bit anonymous the last couple.
I would like to see Field get a start instead of Ball who looks tired.
If the Dutchman is fit, I like to see him play some part, a proper centre back instead of a midfielder standing in.

Ball was our best player v Preston , definitely not looking tired . I agree with other poster Kakay for Kane . Bonne for Dykes , maybe Willock for Chair .

Jesus wept! What's Warburton on about? He needs to stop fannying around with spreadsheets and do some physical manager/coach interventions to ensure there's no repeat of Wednesday's disinterested and lacklustre showing. Data.... he needs to look at his own data frankly and stop talking like a management consultant.

this or he will make changes that we don't expect, i.e. resting Austin or Johansen.

Our record in games we are expected to win isnt good ,I much prefer when we are playing the better teams as I think it suits our style of play .Birmingham need the points more badly than us . 1-0 home win

I have learned over the years to never expect us to win, my first dose of this reality was harshly doled out to me at Wembley in 86!
