The reason why Washington is playing might be that Holloway wants to get rid of him and puts him in the shopping window. A player that is playing every now and then for a Championship team is probably easier to move on to a League One club than a player that cannot even warm the bench. This is probably the same reason JET played for the U23 on Friday - to give potential buyers a look.

If this makes the effort of selling Washington easier it has my full support.
