Bearing in mind the problems its caused this board in the past, where do you suggest we draw the line with regard to allowing away fans to post here?

Don't see a problem with having an away section for them. Not like they post that often anyway for it to be such a big deal.

Like you say with the decent away like Hammer we know they've got good points but I think all away should be allowed to post here. Just be a man about it if they are just taking the proverbial and ignore it.

I don't think corraling them will work to our benefit. If they come on here to cause trouble, we will get rid ASAP. If they come on here to have a sensible dialogue, past experience shows that it will in most cases go down the drain because of a few of our own members who are not interested in dialogue. So does it matter which section such threads appear in?
In any case, please bear in mind that we have no way of vetting new members and so by default all new members can post in this main section. Therefore at least the first thread by a fan of another club will always start its life here, unless they exercise commendable self-censorship and post in that other section straight away
Banning people is no longer my hobby,
but take a look at my photo blog:

How and why did I start supporting QPR in Estonia:

I can see both sides but I think genuine debate in the build up to and post games is good. The Fulham tit for tat stuff is pathetic and on such occasions they should be simply banned (and if possible spammed to!!!!!!)

Exactly. I think having some decent away fans helps bring something different to the table, give an opinion on things from a different angle than us Rangers fans give.
You should never underestimate the predictability of stupidity.

This forum is a community to discuss qpr hammer wizard ect are part of this community to banish them IMO is wrong. However I also believe any fan should be able to post here of they come along and be a divk ban them simple as.
The bigger question is how will you stop a away fan from posting in here? Lol you can't they will just post here if they be a **** they get banned if they don't we normally hold a decent conversation.
People go on about away fans are only here to gloat is rubbish , some yes but all no I post on other websites because I love football and enjoy having conversations about different clubs with there fans gaining a better understanding of there club and them.

Have to say - All away fans to post in the away chat section only. It's called ''qpr fans only'' for a reason. If you're looking to discuss with fans of the opposition you can do that in the away section IMO.

As long as I don't see one away fan on this part of the board I don't care. I don't come on here to read their views I want to hear from fans of QPR & QPR ONLY.

Exactly I'm not saying they shouldn't post on watrb, just post in away fans section, if QPR fans want to talk to them then its not a hard just go to the section

On balance, I think it best if they are only allowed in an away fans section. Having said that, I can see no logical reason why, in order to ensure that those who are happy to discuss football with opposition fans, can do so without a minority of R's fans acting like big girl's blouses, that access to that particular section is only allowed to those who promise to behave correctly. Therefore, those unable to exercise a bit of self control, can stay in the comfort of the main section and miss out on some pretty entertaining and informative stuff.

But what would I know? I live in Brighton and therefore...

I'm happy for away fans to post in our section. I don't see any problems with guys like Hammer or Wiz who are always courteous on here. I think allowing away fans to post here is a sign of the maturity of us as fellow football fans. Remember, during the hooligan days of the 70s and 80s we never had barriers at our ground. We've always been a friendly little club, so why put barriers up now?

Let's be honest, we've all chatted to fans of different clubs at football matches and most of the conversations would have been amicable. Why should an internet forum be any different?
Supporting QPR isn't just about a football team. It's about roots and identity.

let them post anywhere - if they wind up then ban them. You can't stop it anyway, or are you going to ask to see a scanned ST or membership card before activating accounts now.

I think its rough on someone like Wiz whose always been fair and respectful on this forum, to chuck them off .
