Well, they have got what they wanted they will probably release a statement saying next week that there was insufficient evidence to prove that Clattenburg abused either player. He'll not referee them again, and anyone that officiates their games might be a little hesitant on making 50/50 calls against them.

They cheat on the pitch, they cheat off it, they buy their success. The joke is on them, because that's what the history books will say about their period of "glory"..

Well, there we have it. Any referee who dares to give a controversial decision against the scum will be accused of racism and reported to the police. This bullsh1t is making the sport a laughing stock and it needs to be nipped in the bud.

This whole story makes no sense, I just can't imagine a referee who is miked up would say those things....Chelsea however, because of the Terry situation and the decisions made on the night have motive to lie....hang em I say!!

From what I have read and picked up from talking to folk, it's alleged the ref said "shut up, monkey" but many people have actually stated that the ref said "shut up, mikel". Apparently he's a geordie so who knows lol?

What's worse is, Mikel didn't hear it. Ramires did. Ramires told him, he called you a monkey mate. The whole thing maybe a misunderstanding, but if so then it's been ridiculously handled by Chelsea.

In our company, you'd do an investigation first before issuing an allegation. Otherwise you've opened yourself up to an unholy ****storm if the incident didn't happen exactly as one person thought.

I'd imagine Chelsea will need to find a scapegoat for this, and I'm sure they will.

clattenburg would never say that , he has a good living from football and would have to be mad , chelsea are now the man u of the south no one likes them , they get all the breaks and decisions go there way most of the time .example the dive from sturridge in last seasons fa cup game that was never a penalty in a million years .what i hate most about chelsea is there smug im superior attitude of there fans they left in there droves when they were last relegated

Exactly. I feel for Clattenburg as it seems rather unlikely he would say what they're claiming. The assistants didn't hear anything and now his name is effectively ruined. You'd think they would have at least had a word to him and tried to figure out what had happened rather than immediately making an allegation public.

Chelsea have dropped a clanger here.................throw the book at them, revenge for the defeat, revenge for Terry, either way they've influenced who will be reffing them , or won't be in the future as Will said.

Fa have charged them for approaching the referee after the game, think all the big clubs are going to pressure the FA to do something about Chelsea. Wenger already came out against them publicly too, good on the geezer. Not always my cup of tea, hate his **** eating smug grin but sometimes he makes a lot of sense.

Exactly., the whole thing's a farce and the Fact a non English speaking player apparently heard the comments when Mickel standing next to the ref didn't is pathetic.

As i said in an earlier post Clattenberg is not stupid enough to say anything when he's mic'd up and knows all other officials would hear every word... no ref would be that stupid.

Chelsea are clutching at straws with this one and it will work against them in future not for them. Some think they'll now get every 50/50... i don't, i think refs will have a lot of disgust with the club and if anything are now far less likely to give them 50/50 decisions.... shame.

They have to take SWP back on a 3 year deal.

                        No wait, that's too harsh.

Their 'us versus the world" mentality is bordering on pathetic now.

If they did want to make a serious complaint about this then they shouldn't have let the media run with the story. Why not just make a private complaint to the FA?

If proven false then this could come back to bite them big time and what ever punishment they get will be fully deserved.

They are doing a pretty good job of making themselves despised the world over at the moment, long may it continue!

i'm hearing that Chelsea have dropped the "racial" term on the "inappropriate language" part....so are they claiming MC swore at Mikel...? if so - how bad is that?

Defamation of character, not good at all for Chelsea. Hope they get phucked.
