Don't come on here that often, but picking his 'favourites' will ultimately be Mark Hughes downfall I fear. The majority of Rangers fans can all see and want the midfield 5 of Hoillett, Diakite, Faurlin, Granero and Taarabt, but Hughes always seems to pick Park and SWP even if they are not performing. Can he simply not see this?
The Zamora or Cisse up front war will rage on amongst us all season I'm sure. Personally I wish we could play them both. But to include Junior and Tarbs, it seems only one can play, so for me it would have to be Cisse.
We obviously have another problem now with M'bia being sent off yesterday and now banned for 3 games, and once again, everyone knows it will happen that he will pick Ferdinand ahead of Hill, and no matter who we play home or away, you just know he will be liable for us conceding goals, as he simply is not good enough at this level.
Time will tell on Hughes, but it's running out very quickly for him and if he chooses to pick Park/SWP over Faurlin and Ferdinand at the expense of Hill for the next game...then I'm afraid I can see another defeat, and the end of him as Rangers manager.
It's his choice, what does he want? To keep his job and ensure we start winning games with his 'best' team? Or pick his favourites who will cost him his job?
We shall see on Saturday when the teams are announced.
