I'd imagine any ban by a football federation would get ratified by UEFA or FIFA. Especially in this insistence, didn't Blatter speak out against Joey or am I imagining it?

I think the English FA have merely asked the French FA to honour the ban, more out of solidarity than any legal requirement. As far as I know, no decision has been published (at least in the British media).

Fair enough, no bother either way, just wondered if there was any cross federation issues.

Will make it easier to shift him on at the end of his loan if he does serve the ban there.

Or, before anyone starts whining again, it'll make him available for us again sooner.
