Then should we play 5 at the back to avoid another humiliating defeat? Instead of overloading them with our attackers we need to even it out in defence aswell otherwise that carrot munching Holt will punish our clueless defence and lamp-post of a keeper as described on here earlier.

This formation will provide more cover for Green because let's be honest, he needs it. Fabio and Boswinga like pushing up and attacking so they will be good wing backs. Plus we've seen some nice link up play down the left flank from Fabio and Hoilett so hopefully this will work. Diakite and Park in the middle, Taarabt on the right and Hoilett on the left side of midfield. Cisse up front again, but he will have more service with this formation with the amount of crosses into the box and attackers pushing up to help him. Bring in Nelsen for Ferdinand and we'll have 3 decent centre backs.

It's imperative we keep the ball better and have Derry sitting in front of the back four to stop them just casually running through us.

Having us not being able to hold the ball up and losing possession frequently is why we got spanked, and put lots of pressure on the back four and goalie. Which they spectacularly crumbled under.

Back to basics.

Derry shielding the back four, Norwich don't exactly have much pace to worry about. Park and Samba to control the CM, and Hoilett to fill in the Adel sort of role, drifting behind striker and on wings, as we all Know what Adel performs like away from home.

I would have SWP in place of Derry and in front of Diakite. During preseason SWP was great in that cm role.
