Actually, if the Unigate and BBC sites are a no go that means they were not/are not on the list of choices, so surely that makes the LC number 1 choice.
Otherwise it's a bit like saying Cisse was a reluctant 3rd choice striker signing behind Rooney and Torres who were always no goes to the R's

Sorry, I haven't read the whole thread but regarding the Linford site by the Scrubs, this has cropped up many times in the past but has always been rejected on the grounds that it's protected against development, and that there are serious issues around access given the residential nature of the area, plus the hospital and prison etc.

Shame, because the location would be fantastic in terms of retaining links to QPR history. But I can't see it happening.

Can I throw a cat among the pigeons here? Honest, this is not a 'troll' suggestion, but would it really be impossible for people to consider ground-sharing with Chelski? I can assure you, no one despises them more than I do (being of 60s / 70s QPR vintage, I fully understand how dreadful they are). But I'm thinking, here we have two Prem teams looking for a big stadium in West London. Think how much further our money would go and how much wider our options would be if we pooled resources. Other cities around Europe have ground-sharing between big clubs. Personally I could live with it, simply on the basis that the advantages outweigh the downside. And a blue stadium would suit both!

I totally agree with you Will this is by far the most sensible option. To split the construction and running costs 50-50, the ground would be utilised for every week during the season rather than sitting empty and draining cash. Both clubs could benefit from this deal and so what if it's Chelsea only a fool couldn't see the advantages of ground sharing and the financial benefits. The other bonus is that many Chelsea hangers on would need a sat nav to get beyond Sloane Sq or Knightsbridge, could halve their gates.

Well TF said around the Park signing that news of the new stadium would be a couple of months away which would be around now.

So maybe announcement will be soon? It will be a multi-use arena. Music concerts and the like. Need to make use of the stadium in the off season as per the Emirates but not in design

lc stadium is one of the last possible sites available if we want to stay really local but not sure if its a goer. the gasworks at the top of ladbroke grove was mentioned before i think but is moving further away from bush(but nearer our origanal base)

Are you serious? Fark ever sharing a ground with them - massive no no. Tbh Id hate to share a ground at all, let alone with them lot - we would be 2nd class citizens in our own home.

i agree with this. we might be a great club with great passion and support - in our eyes. our mates who support other clubs may also tell us "oh yeh, QPR, i like them, always a good team. hope they do well"...but we simply do not have 40k fans who are willing/able to pay/attend home games. that's the simple fact of it.
