I reckon he's worth £4-5m...no less than that

Would agree with that, probably more. A winger scoring that many goals in the Prem in his first year in a team battling relegation is no mean feat. Given the inflated prices we've seen, if either team has seriously bid £1m we really shouldn't even grant them a cursory "F*** off" to be frank.

Just the thought of it makes me chuckle, I can see Jamie spending many a year at the Bush.
I have supported Rangers for 55 seasons, since March 1969.

Can't believe after last season people are still questionning whether he's a prem player...of course he is! Scored 8 goals for us last season as a right midfielder aswell as assisting quite a few goals. Play him upfront next season and he WILL score at least 10 goals...
He doesn't have many 'skills' but he is a threat on the ball and pressures defenders until they give the ball away...We need him

Hughes used to be a forward, and when he came in alot of us expected SWP to get back into the starting xi, but no....he kept Mackie in the starting lineup because he recognises his ability and the impact he can have for us.

He is ok in an average Rs team,he know world beater although. Being under 84 should put a bit of value on him in our geriatric squad.
I wouldn't........ good job you pair aren't in charge of flogging the players, £5 mill at least.

I'm sure the knockers of JM would be of the same ilk who knocked Simon Barker and Ollie when they played for us.

You will only realise what you had when it's gone chaps, mark my words!

11 players playing "the Mackie way" won the Chumpions League I reckon.
The man has ability as well as his much publicised willingness to give 200%

if we'd had 11 mackies we wd have finished mid-table in the championship. we won it at a canter because we had the best player in the league by a country mile - adel, supported by some hard working, well organised cloggers and one other very good player in Faurlin. mackie does have his virtues but he also has a tendency to run out of play and into blind alleys. fans want to finish higher up the table but they are unprepared to face the unpalatable consequences - several likeable honest toilers are not good enough technically to start for us if we are to avoid another relegation struggle. good luck to you lot if you seriously think anyone wd pay anything like 5m for him.

If 5 mil can only buy you a player with f all technical ability but can run a lot then I give up on football. If 5 mil can buy you Mackie then 50 mil for Taarabt right? Don't get me wrong I like the lad but he's not a 5 mil player.

id keep my powder dry on this one and see how he does this season, if he plays as well as he did last season and bangs in a few goals for us id say we have a 5 million plus player!

i was going by grant holt being valued at £6 mill Del. I know grant scored 15 goals but jamie is alot younger and an international (well scotland player) i see your point about being ltd technicaly but i don't think jamie is as bad as all that is he? Very good finisher, and great workrate.
