Not too sure that to give a label to any particular nation, based upon either personal experiences or hearsay, is either very fair or very clever. And insults are insults, be it in relation to nationality, colour or sexual preferences and as such are not really what we want to see on here.

In fairness to the OP, I doubt very much that the term 'Paddy' was meant as an insult, but surely, upon finding that it wasn't appreciated by another member, it would have been better to simply say something like- "sorry mate, no offence intended" and move on, rather than add fuel to the fire.

Still, I suppose that option is still there should he be gracious enough to try it.

I'm not only working at the moment Paul, but also doing this via a phone and find it a bit difficult to keep trawling pages for who said what and trying to post up each quote. Perhaps you would care to make it easier for both of us and post up exactly what I said. Or what I am supposed to have said.
