My reasoning for playing Traore instead of Adel is to strengthen the left side of midfield defensively.

Like the thinking and agree ref cisse for zamora and diakite for buz, but would leave adel in asd a link to the attack and also he'll keep the ball and run with it to give the defense some restbite. We didn't have that at chelsea and it came straight back each time.

I would though play traore instead of Derry who gets overun against good sides. I would have traore there who can then go wide to make a 4 if taraabt goes forward, or play taraabt infront of barton and diakite with traore wide.
