  • Legal Challenge

Surely if we are relegated Fernandes and Bhatia have to consider a legal challenge to recoupe any lost revenue. There is a duty on the officials to apply the rules as set out and whilst some of the decision are interpretation others are at best incompetent. The FA has a duty to train and ensure the competency of their officials and may well be liable for their failures as is the case in many businesses.

If the club were to come out and say in the event of relegation they are considering a legal challenge and a claim against the FA for negligence I think they would certainly sit up and take notice. The FA are in dire financial straights and would not want welcome such action and would certainly ensure we had fair officials until the end of the season.

This farce with poor decisions has to end some time and it would at the least hasten the introduction of technology.

agreed !!!the clamour for 'video replay' decisions now must be championed vigorously........if.....big if we go down diabolical decisions by the fa instructed officials have ruined any chances we had..............i hope tony f and amia seek justice against these cheats in the fa!

If that happens you would get every suing for negligence claiming that poor referring decisions cost them league places, not a chance of succeeding!!

That's the reason why nothing changes, people just accept it the way it is.

Everyone has been calling out for technology for many years now and today shows why it should be in place, it could mean staying up or going down, or winning the Premiership on merit or it being handed to you.

What is the point in taking part if you wont be allowed a fair game?

The sport is becoming a joke!

well said myu..............every mainstream sport has video aided technology...........with the vast money involved sooner or later a club will sue a refferee for loss of income through diabolically poor decision making!

Got to use video replays just have to, and i know that means some things will go against as well as for us, but when you feel the game is bent the authorities have to address it, this is happening week in week out

it will affect the big clubs more as they get more decisions for them than against imho!

They should just give the big 4 clubs 12 points at the start of the season with man utd getting an extra 3 bonus points. Once they get the points they should tell the officials to officiate all future games fairly thus avoiding the debacle of what we currently have.
At least then we would all know we were shafted unsheathed at the start of the season rather than having to put up with the shocking corruption seen today.

You cant do anything as the football league and the Premier League are a "Private Club" and it stats you will follow and agree to their rules and judgement "full stop" good or bad.

If you decided to take this legally any further when you went to join the folowing year they would reject your application and therefore kick you out.

The only way anything might change is if people around the world stop watching the premier league due to the fact it loses its competitvness due to bais reffering, and SKY and the braodcasting companies stop paying through the nose.
One for all.... and all for one

Agree mate, which is why imo they don't want to bring it in, and i mean use replays for all contencious calls, not just goal line

Video technology is very fast, it don't slow the game down at all.

I'd like to know the reasons why they are delaying it, every game is being recorded live and ref's do have a mic and earpiece already don't they?

I'd rather lose a game knowing it was a fair game, think the whole world would.

What are the pro's and con's?
