The problem for me is Barton not Warnock

....but Warnock may have to full on his sword for making him captain.

Barton is no leader on the pitch and i would not be surprised to hear he destabilses the dressing room.

JB looks like a very average PL midfielder, too inconsistent to be classed any better. Give me Kieron Richardson all day long...ran the show today!

    Spot On!
Joey only shouts at everybody and doesn`t deliver. Every other ball from him goes to the wrong player!...And it has been like that since the beginning of the season. Too much effort on him but...

Unfortunately, Joey is the same as Taarabt. Both are far better than we see, but neither want to be here. That said, Taarabt is looking good again, but it's probably because he knows he's going nowhere unless he steps up.

Barton has been a massive let down in general.

We are getting over run all over the pitch. No creativity at all in the first half.... 2 goals from corners aswell... Sickening

Was saying same last night, the team had no unity with Joey proper digging out Conolly, Mackie and Tarbs, constantly whinging and shaking his head. Think he is a major disruption who gives it the big un while not delivering himself. Saying that Warnocks formation, tactics and subs were again shocking last night

I dont think we have any better players waiting for their chance to replace Barton in midfield and perhaps complacency has set in a little with him as he believes his position is safe

What really baffles me is that he is still considered the dead ball specialist when from a corner he never beats the first man and his free kicks are shocking to say the least

BArton moaning and whinging everytime Adel didnt pass to him, the irony of it, that Adel has more ability in his little toe than BArton has at all.
Only when Taraabt came on did we look anything like a threat.
              Fully agree Dan.

Bartons passing last night was league 1 standard. Didn't deliver 1 good set piece.

It makes you ask all sorts of questions. He was class at City, and the same at Newcastle.

That's what does me benny at Newcastle he was truly outstanding and he used to totally boss the game and ran the show. Last night he was disgustingly bad and literally lost count amount of times we lost the ball! He was awful but we got nobody to replace him ATM . One thing that really winds me up is when Jenny has te ball 99% of the time he just hoofs it up field. We surrender possession every time! Really does my nut in, we have two ball playing full backs yet we never roll it out to them, only time he did wa when we were on top

That was meant to say kenny not Jenny! I know I will got shot down cos kenny is a fans favourite and I love him to bits but his distribution is poor and we just hand possession straight back to other team every time

Barton has been very poor of late and for someone who is reported to be on £80k per week his passing and crossing at times was woeful.

That said Barton hasn't been responsible for the lack of marking that has cost us so many goals of late from free headers and this is where we must improve.

Warnock's words last night were so true - poor defending and Christams came 4 days early for them.

The difference is that Tarbs has had good games for us. If JB had come to us as an unknown quanity we would all be saying he is utterly cr*p by now...and he would have been dropped.

Making him captain was a mistake. Not dropping a player that regularly performs like he has been in the pub for 6 hours is also a mistake.

So, the problem on the pitch may be Barton, but the root cause is NW.

Funny how Barton stepped it up when Taarabt came on and people were cheering him

All long people got brainwashed that Barton was the chosen one and Taarabt got brushed to the side by our supporters while all the attention was on Barton

I have been told that him being captain was one of the reasons for him coming here - ergo it's in his contract.
