I never doubted him. He was a star first half of last season, became an International and fought his way back from serious injury to arguably even better form in the Prem. The man is a true professional.

I think Hogan is a good player. He was class the beginning of last season when in the team, and what people seem to forget is that he is actually a very good finisher also when put through one on one.

As said he looked very good against Everton when he got on. People say he's only a CCC player, but the fact of the matter is there are many teams in this league that are barely better than CCC level anyway, and in them there will be many a weak FB.

So let me get this straight. Because a team in the third team of English football have taken him on loan - after no one in the second tier expressed any desire to do so - and expressed a tentative interest in signing him permanently if he proves himself ("Its early days", to quote their manager) then he is good enough for us in the Premier League? I must be missing something...

I agree btw about Perone etc but we are essentially having a pointless debate about who is slightly less useless. Its what poor Neil had to work with at the time.

I think you are missing the point.

Nothing to do with who he has joined, very much to do with the fact he should have been in the 25 ahead of the likes of Puncheon....

I think he should of been in the 25 personally. Came on at Everton & looked more than comfortable.
                            Totally agree Ric every word.

Think it was a bit of a panic buy as NW wasn't sure of getting SWP. SWP signed and Puncheon turned up and it was a case of well "we asked him to sign so we had better let him sign".
